3D Scanning

We have two different scanning technologies at our disposal. The structured light scanner is excellant for capturing organic forms such as small statues, hands and feet, wood sculptures and surfaces with an organic form. Our laser scanner has an integrated touch probe, which makes it excellent for the reverse engineering of mechanical component such as engine casings, mounting bracket and injection moulded plastic parts. There is an overlap in the items the two scanners can capture 3D data but for on site scanning we use the structured light scanner as it is a portable device.

3D Design

An innovative design is the foundation for any new product and we make heavy use of various engineering design tools to be able to produce the necessary 3D models, from which we later create the prototypes. Being able to take a design brief and turn it into a 3 dimension model is core to what we do. Whether you need a 3D visualisation, a 3D model for additive or subtractive manufacturing or 2D drawings extracted from the 3D design we can help. WE have more than 30 years engineering experience in taking a concept through to manufacturing. We are willing and able to join in at any point in the project. More and more we asked to develop concept models at the very beginning of a project and of course we are able to back this up with a 3D printed version of the concept model. This tactile feedback at an early stage in the project can have a very positive influence.

3D Printing

We offer a range of prototyping services with sole aim of bring your virtual designs into the physical world. The technologies we use enable us to develop truely working prototypes in a range of materials and finishes. 3D printing (additive manufacturing) Materials: - A choice of high quality materials are readily available such as ABS-like, polypropylene-like and wax-like plastics Build envelope: - 267 (X) x 165 (Y) x 203 (Z) mm All parts can be delivered in an as printed state or finished using acrylics 3D milling (subtractive manufacturing) Materials:- Plastic, resin, wood, polyurethane tooling board and non-ferrous metals Build envelope:- 750(X) x 1150(Y) x 150(Z) mm If you can provide us with a 3D model (all common formats supported) we will be happy to provide you with a quotation, latest the next working day
